Limited Edition - Hawk with Red Arrows Skin Tag
Precision. Performance. Perfection in every cup. Just like the legendary Hawk T1 flown by the Red Arrows, this limited-edition coffee represents the very best of British engineering and excellence. Each purchase includes a genuine piece of aviation history — an aircraft skin tag crafted from the rudder of jet ‘XX319’, a Red Arrows aircraft that flew in some of the team’s most iconic displays, including the London 2012 Olympics and their New York City flypast.
The Hawk coffee embodies the same skill and finesse that define the Reds. Its vibrant, fruit-forward flavour mirrors the precision and energy of the team’s formations — bright, complex, and exhilarating. A coffee that performs in the cup as beautifully as the Hawks perform in the sky.
The Coffee
Sourced from the lush mountains of Ethiopia’s Guji region, this Abu Nura lot showcases the country’s celebrated natural processing technique.
Origin: Uraga, Guji, Ethiopia
Producer: Abu Nura
Process: Natural (sun-dried on raised beds)
Variety: Heirloom
Altitude: 1900–2300m
Roast: Light to Medium
Flavour Notes: Blueberry Jam, Passionfruit & Floral
This coffee is bursting with sweet berry flavours, balanced by a delicate citrus brightness. Expect a juicy, tea-like body and a clean, lingering finish — a tribute to both the craftsmanship of Ethiopian farmers and the artistry of the Red Arrows themselves.
The Aircraft
The BAE Systems Hawk T1 is the heart and soul of the Red Arrows, the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team known across the world for their precision, teamwork, and unmistakable red trails. Every manoeuvre is a symbol of British excellence — sharp, disciplined, and breathtakingly graceful.
The aircraft featured in this release, Hawk T1 XX319, is still actively flying today. It was once flown by former Red 9, Toby Keeley, who also became the first to taste and approve this coffee — a fitting connection between pilot and roast.
After years of service, XX319 required a new rudder, and the original one was carefully removed. Rather than being scrapped, this piece of aviation history has been reborn — crafted into limited-edition keyrings, each paired with this exclusive coffee.
These tags are more than metal; they’re a fragment of the world’s most in-demand display team — the Red Arrows. Opportunities like this are almost unheard of, and once these tags are gone, it’s unlikely they’ll ever be available again. This is a collectible that connects the thrill of flight, the art of engineering, and the ritual of great coffee — all in one.
The Brew
Whether you’re a barista, pilot, or coffee lover on the ground, Hawk is a joy to brew.
As a filter coffee, it reveals its fruity complexity — think strawberry and lemon zest with a crisp, refreshing sweetness.
As an espresso, it’s bright yet balanced, with a silky body and notes of ripe blackcurrant and citrus.
Barista tip: Use a 1:16 ratio (15g coffee to 240ml water) and brew at 94°C for filter, or pull your espresso at 19g in / 40g out in 28 seconds. Let it cool slightly before sipping — that’s when the Hawk really takes flight.
