Aviation is a world built on precision, pride, and excellence, yet coffee at altitude has lagged behind. That's a problem we can't ignore any longer, and that's exactly what sparked the question...

How it all began
From grounded to grinding beans
When the pandemic hit in 2020, our founder - Captain Nathan Raab suddenly found himself without a job. To stay busy, he took a temporary position packing coffee beans at a local roastery, and unexpectedly found a passion. He learnt all there is to know about speciality coffee!
Right Place, Right time
Chris, a frequent flyer with a serious coffee obsession, saw a post from Nathan on social media about fixing aviation coffee, and of course this sparked his interest. One Instagram message later, and the rest was history. Jet Bean Coffee was becoming a reality, and together, they started work to roast the best coffee inspired by their shared passion for coffee and planes.

Every bean is ethically sourced, sustainably farmed and fully traceable, then roasted with precision to highlight its natural sweetness and clarity. Only the very best coffee makes it into the fleet. proving you can make a decent coffee in the air
Before we ever made it into a jet, we proved we could make an extraordinary espresso in an aeroplane. Thanks to our partner Semet Aviation, we took a Piper PA-28 to altitude and brewed what we believe was one of the first perfect espressos in a light aircraft.
THE WORLDS FIRST PRIVATE JET COFFEE SHOP
That experiment sparked something bigger. With the help of RPM Aviation, we acquired a Cessna Citation private jet and converted it into a fully functioning speciality coffee shop, proving great coffee can be served from an aircraft cabin.
We’re now sharing this experience at events, airports, and future in-flight concepts. Our mission is simple: raise the standard of coffee across aviation, from terminals to airliners to lounges & cafes everywhere.

He leads the brand’s vision, blending his love of flight with a growing presence as a content creator in both worlds. Whether he’s roasting beans, filming reels, or shaping the next idea, Nathan keeps Jet Bean flying with purpose and personality.
