The Coffee

Grown by small-scale producers, this single origin Colombian coffee is not only unique in flavour but also in how it’s produced. Unlike typical Colombian beans, Finca Sofia offers a bolder and more individual taste profile.

The Aircraft

History: Developed in the 1960s as the ultimate reconnaissance aircraft, the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird was designed to fly faster and higher than any enemy could reach. Constructed primarily from titanium to withstand extreme heat, it became the fastest operational aircraft in history, capable of evading missiles simply by outrunning them. With an altitude ceiling of 85,000 feet, it remained virtually untouchable during its missions, serving until 1999.

Most Iconic Moment: On July 28, 1976, the SR-71 set the world record for the fastest air-breathing manned aircraft, reaching an unbelievable speed of 2,200 mph—a record that still stands today.

The Brew

Blackbird Blend is a rich, versatile coffee designed to shine across a variety of brew methods. Whether you prefer filter, cafetière, or espresso, it delivers bold flavour with a smooth finish.

Brew Method: Filter / Pour Over
Dose: 15g of ground coffee
Water: 250ml at 93–94°C
Grind: Medium (like sand)
Brew Time: 2:30–3:00 minutes

Instructions:
Add your ground coffee to a V60 or similar brewer. Pour over hot water in slow, circular motions. Allow to drip through and serve immediately.

Flavour Profile:
Deep and full-bodied with notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit, and a touch of spice.

Great black or with a dash of milk, perfect for everyday brewing.
