When we started Jet Bean Coffee, the idea was simple: great coffee, inspired by the aircraft that connect us. Every blend we’ve released has paid homage to something iconic in aviation. But this one, the Limited Edition Jumbo Jet, might just be the most special thing we’ve ever created.

A True Piece of Aviation History

This coffee isn’t just themed around the Boeing 747 - it’s literally made with part of one.

Each bag includes a genuine aircraft skin tag cut from a retired KLM Boeing 747-400M (serial number 28460). Delivered to KLM in 1999 as “City of Vancouver”, it spent over two decades crossing oceans before finishing its service life as VQ-BWM flying cargo for JetOneX until 2024. That year, the aircraft was retired from service at London Stansted, and through a partnership with the team handling its materials, we were able to give a small piece of that aviation legend a new purpose.

That’s what the tag is: a slice of something extraordinary, a piece of metal that once soared at 35,000 feet, now grounded next to your morning cup.

The Coffee Inside

Of course, what’s in the bag matters too.

We chose a single-origin Brazilian Arabica from the São Paulo region - smooth, rich, and balanced. Grown at around 1,000 metres, it’s naturally sweet with notes of chocolate, Walnut Whip and caramel. It’s a coffee that feels indulgent, but approachable, the kind you can enjoy every day without ever getting bored.

We roast this one medium, keeping that chocolate depth and long finish. It’s perfect for espresso, flat whites, or a morning Americano that doesn’t need sugar to shine.
